If you don't have an FTP program installed already, we can highly recommend using FileZilla.
Click on the link and download the FTP client under
Download.
Please be aware that there's also a FileZilla server, which is not a necessity.
The Program is an open source program and does not require any license, which means it is free both to individuals and companies.
There exist many other FTP programs, for instance LeapFTP and CuteFTP, but this guide uses FileZilla as its base.
-
Download and install the FTP client program.
-
Start the program.

You can now see all the files on your hard drive in the left window and all the files you have on the server in the right window. This is illustrated on the picture below.

-
Highlight the file(s) in the left window that needs to be copied to the server. Then right click with the mouse and choose "Upload" (alternatively, you can just drag them from the left to the right window). It is important that you copy your website to the folder that is called public.
The folder Private is not accesible from the internet and can be used to, for instance, databases and the like.
-
Congratulations. Your website is now uploaded and can be seen by starting a browser, for instance, Internet Explorer or Mozilla Firefox.
